Manchester United forward coach Benni McCarthy inspired the next generation with his heartfelt message to Heathfield Primary.

Manchester United coach Benni McCarthy has taken time out of his busy schedule to inspire South African students in a wonderful way. 

Heathfield Primary in Cape Town recently launched its newly-refurbished school with the former AmaZulu manager sending them a personal message of congratulations and revealing his personal ties with the school.

While the Red Devils may be suffering form a poor run of form that has seen them win just one of their last five Premier League encounters, the 46-year-old still managed to find time inspire the little ones. 

Given his current role and what he has achieved in the beautiful game, including being the only South African to have ever won the UEFA Champions League, the former striker would be a source of inspiration for youngster finding their way in life. 

In his personalised message, McCarthy highlighted the feelings he had towards the institution and encouraged the teachers and everyone involved in the school to continue what they are doing. 

"I would like to firstly congratulate the school  for the new refurbishment, making the school  incredibly nice for all the students that  will be attending there. That school is very close to my heart because my little brother Mark McCarthy went to the school," the coach said. 

"And it's right opposite my parents house, so yeah. So we've got the interaction with the school all the time. Um, I'm very proud of you guys for being able to achieve what you guys have done.

"Making the school brand new and making it exceptionally nice for all the students. And for the teachers to make the work environment really good so that the students can get the best possible education that they need.

"For me here in England, very cold Manchester, I'd like to just say keep up the amazing work that you guys have done so far and give the students the best that they possibly can  to enable that they've got an amazing future in the coming years. So all the very best with, everything that you do.

"And to the students: Study hard, work hard, listen to your teachers, listen to your parents, okay? From me, Benny McCarthy,  love you all."
