Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali and a host of other players reacted to a video mocking the goalkeeper's uncommon head shape.

The shot-stopper became a popular figure around the continent after his memorable showing at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations that helped Nigeria reach the final of the competition where they fell just short of becoming champions, suffering a 2-1 loss to Ivory Coast.

It was a rapid rise to prominence for the 27-year-old, and being a well-known figure could mean that he is constantly in the spotlight, which is exactly where he is because of a video that is currently doing the rounds on social media.

The video depicts a scenario in which Nwabali is retired from football and the Super Eagles are searching for a keeper who could take his place.

The coach, in the video, turns everyone away until he comes across someone with a head that is shaped very similar to the Chippa United number one.

While some popular figures would have been perhaps been upset by such content, the Super Eagle star took it very well and proved himself a good sport.

He even went as far as posting the video on his Instagram story and coupling it with laughing emojis.

There were familiar names who dropped down to the comment section to share laughs, and these included Orlando Pirates stars Sandile Mthethwa and Thabang Monare, Nigeria international Kenneth Omeruo, former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama and, of course, Nwabali himself.
