A former DStv Premiership star has been handed a considerably pricey reward by his new club after helping them beat Khama Billiat's Yadah FC.
Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit Simba Bhora are currently second on the table after wining four of its six games, and one of the side’s star players Walter Musona receiving a pricey car for his efforts so far this season.
Club director director Brighton Panjap Ushendibaba showed his appreciation for star attacker and standout performer by surprising him with the ever-extravagant Mercedes Benz C200.
Musona was signed by Polokwane City in 2017 and represented them until October 2020 before moving to Sekhukhune United for a brief stint in 2021.
The 28-year-old joined new club Simba at the beginning of the season from another Zimbabwe PSL side FC Platinum, and the club's hierarchy see him as a revelation following his crucial contributions in their recent matches, helping his side to a 1-0 victory against Dynamos over the weekend.
The side also beat Billiat's Yadah by two goals to one earlier this month. According to a source cited by Nehandra Radio, another player will also benefit from the reward.
“It’s true, Panjap rewarded Walter for his top-notch performance against Dynamos with a Mercedes Benz C200.
“The arrangement is that Walter will trade in his old car for the Benz, and Panjap has also pledged to give Musona’s pre-owned car to another deserving player,” added the source.
The German sedan, depending on which model, can cost someone from around R160 000 to R260 000, according to cars.co.za.
